Our responsibility for people and nature starts with the raw materials. Regionality is a particularly important factor here. Therefore, we primarily source our raw materials from medium-sized suppliers from our own and neighbouring federal states within a radius of 100 km. Strengthening small and medium-sized businesses is of particular concern to us for reasons of responsibility for future generations. In addition, we naturally also pay attention to the nutritional quality of all our products. We reduce the salt and sugar content and, where possible, refrain from using food additives, flavour enhancers and allergens.

As a family business, we are particularly proud of our employees' strong bond with Windau. Company anniversaries of 20 or even 30 years are not uncommon for us! At the same time, we are a training company and gain highly qualified and motivated junior staff with our apprentices, whom we train in production and administration.  We strengthen the safety awareness of our employees with preventive occupational safety measures and regular occupational safety training. In addition, we offer our employees training as first aiders or fire protection assistants.

Our corporate governance is based not only on economic but also on ecological principles in terms of sustainability. We therefore regularly review the goals we have set ourselves and our corporate policy, and work closely with our own environmental officers. We consider the latest technologies for environmental protection to be particularly important. With job bikes, which we make available to our employees, we not only promote environmental awareness, but also health awareness in our company.
